GGG revealed Path of Exile 1 3.30 Covens of Umbra at ExileCon 2026. It's free on all platforms on November 13 (PST). Curse of the Allflame ends November 9 at 1 PM PST. The big news is less the league than the endgame: Scarabs are gone, the Atlas tree is redone, and loot drops work differently.

The league: Covens
- Covenites perform rites to summon their Coven Queen. Stop them and you choose a Fate for that area's boss.
- Each Fate makes the boss harder and its rewards better.
- Wickerman: a boss you kill with Fates on it drops Viscera, and you put Viscera on your own Wickerman to take some of the boss's power. Every campaign boss and every map boss has its own.
- Grim Fates power up the hardest Atlas bosses for Pinnacle Boss Viscera. Then there's the Coven Queen herself.
Endgame revamp
- Scarabs are removed. Threads of Creation replace them. You put a Thread in the Map Device to add a chosen league mechanic. More Threads make monsters rarer and harder, and raise the chance of strong extra effects.
- Atlas tree overhaul: new layout and dozens of new wheels. Many old Scarab effects can now be guaranteed from the tree.
- Almost every endgame league mechanic has been changed in some way.
- Mirage goes core. It can appear at random in maps or roll as a map modifier, and it now covers the whole map. Saresh returns as a much harder fight.
Loot rework
- At endgame, unidentified Magic and Rare items can drop with a tier, so you can tell which ones are worth picking up.
- Rarity on maps and monsters now improves all drops, currency and uniques included.
- New unique items. Five new Core Supporter Packs.
