Earthshatter Warbringer

Rolling Slam into Boneshatter for the early campaign, graduating into Earthshatter with Volcanic Fissure the moment you hit level 22 and take your first Trial Ascendancy as a Warbringer. Real per-stage data from the creator's own leveling (1-21), post-22, and endgame (94% Block) exports — including real passive tree progression, not a synthesized guess.

Sourced from three real, separately-exported Build Planner snapshots (not one file with synthesized stages) — the creator built '1-21' and '22-End of Campaign' as genuinely distinct exports, so both the skills and the passive tree differ correctly stage to stage. The two campaign stages carry no fixed gear in the source data at all (gear is left to the Equipment Priority stat guidance below) — only the Endgame stage has concrete items.

Ascendancy order

  1. Warbringer
  • First Trial Ascendancy happens right at level 22, timed to when Earthshatter unlocks — the guide explicitly ties the two together: take Warcaller's Bellow (Warcries Explode Corpses for 25% of their Life as Physical damage, and ignore Warcry cooldowns) so your warcries reliably detonate Earthshatter's spikes.
  • Anvil's Weight and Imploding Impacts (both Warbringer notables) come online by the same 22-End-of-Campaign stage — Break Armour on Hit plus the ability to break armour below 0, feeding the build's Sunder/Earthshatter armor-break synergy.
  • By the endgame 94% Block setup, two more Warbringer notables (Renly's Training, Turtle Charm) convert the build toward a Shield/Block identity — a real, later-game pivot, not something to force into the campaign stages.

Leveling & campaign stages

Level 1–21

1–21
(spirit)

Gear (self-found)

  • No fixed gear at this stage in the source — follow the general stat priorities: armor pieces for life/resistances/strength, weapon for physical damage % and flat, attack speed, and +melee skill levels
  • Consider Mana Leech on a ring or gloves to smooth out sustain before Constricting Command becomes available much later

Tree

  • Ascendancy-adjacent picks are already worth taking this early: Brute (Warbringer's ascendancy start) and Warcaller's Bellow (Warcries Explode Corpses) — you'll actually take the Trial for this at level 22, but the guide path routes toward it from the start
  • Resolute Technique (keystone: doubled Accuracy, never Crit) removes the need to gear around Accuracy
  • Brutal, Blood Rush, and Singular Purpose round out the early damage/sustain nodes

Notes

  • Pick up Rolling Slam from the tutorial chest; grab Boneshatter as your first skill-gem quest reward in Clearfell after killing Miller
  • Core combo from level 1: Rolling Slam, then press Boneshatter right after the first hit to animation-cancel and explode stunned enemies
  • Shield Charge is for mobility, but Sprint works fine too if you'd rather save the gem slot

Level 22 – End of Campaign

22–~60
(spirit) (spirit)

Gear (self-found)

  • Still no fixed gear in the source at this stage — keep following the stat priorities from Level 1-21 as you find upgrades

Tree

  • Take your first Trial Ascendancy right at 22 for Warcaller's Bellow — it's what makes your warcries reliably detonate Earthshatter's spikes
  • Anvil's Weight and Imploding Impacts (Warbringer) come online in this stage — armor-break synergy for Earthshatter/Sunder
  • A large block of warcry/melee/armor notables becomes available: Sturdy Metal, Battle Fever, Impact Area, Impact Force, Crushing Verdict, Vocal Empowerment, Urgent Call, Roaring Cries, Admonisher, Guttural Roar, among others

Notes

  • Earthshatter becomes your main damage dealer from level 22 on; Volcanic Fissure supports it by procing fissures early for bosses
  • Optional single-target picks once available: Sunder or Hammer of the Gods — either works
  • This setup comfortably clears the rest of the campaign until you have gear for the Endgame setup

Endgame (94% Block)

~65+
Abyssal Living BombCharge Infusion (spirit)

Gear (self-found)

  • Boots (lvl 65+): Cinched Boots base — ~+120 maximum Life, +36% Cold Resistance, +12% Chaos Resistance
  • Amulet (lvl 49+): Absent Amulet base — +36% Lightning Resistance, +3 to Level of all Melee Skills
  • Ring 1 (lvl 20+): Amethyst Ring base — +12% all Elemental Resistances, +100 Life
  • Ring 2 (lvl 40+): Breach Ring base — Adds 1-60 Lightning damage to Attacks, +12% all Elemental Resistances
  • Flask (lvl 60+): Ultimate Life Flask base — 31% chance to gain a charge on kill, 66%+ recovery
  • Charm (lvl 32+): Dousing Charm base — +47% increased Charges, +36% Duration

Upgrades if you get lucky or can trade

  • Weapon 1 & Weapon 2 (dual-wielded): Sadist's Mercy
  • Offhand: Svalinn
  • Helmet: Constricting Command
  • Body Armour: Morior Invictus
  • Gloves: The Master's Reach
  • Belt: Mageblood
  • Flask: Lavianga's Spirits
  • Charms: Rite of Passage, For Utopia

Tree

  • Two more Warbringer notables come online here: Renly's Training (Block chance from Equipped Shield instead of the shield's own value) and Turtle Charm (take only 20% of damage from Blocked Hits; max Block chance 75%) — these two are the actual source of the '94% Block' the build is named for
  • A large defensive/block wing opens up: Swift Blocking, Favourable Odds, Made to Last, Hunker Down, Vigilance, Defender's Resolve, Projectile Bulwark, Voll's Protection, among others
  • Also a crit/damage wing (Overwhelming Strike, Heartbreaking, Heartstopping, Struck Through) supporting the Cast on Critical setup

Notes

  • The endgame setup is a real jump in complexity from the campaign combo — it's built around Cast on Block / Cast on Critical / Cast on Elemental Ailment triggering Lightning Warp, Abyssal Living Bomb, and Earthshatter automatically rather than manual warcry-then-slam
  • You no longer need to spam Infernal Cry to detonate Earthshatter spikes — just spam Earthshatter and Aftershock does the work
  • This is one of several endgame variants the creator maintains for this build (Budget, Str Facebreaker, Str Brutus, Lightning Brutus, GIGA Olrovasara, etc.) — this guide ships the '94% Block' default setup

FAQ

What's the core combo before level 22?

Rolling Slam, then press Boneshatter right after the first hit to cancel its animation and explode stunned enemies. Grab Boneshatter as your first skill-gem quest reward in Clearfell after killing Miller.

What changes at level 22?

Earthshatter and Volcanic Fissure both unlock, and it's also when you take your first Trial Ascendancy — pick Warcaller's Bellow so your warcries explode corpses and reliably detonate Earthshatter's spikes.

Why don't the campaign stages show any gear on the doll?

The creator's own export for these two stages genuinely has no fixed gear — this build leans on stat-priority guidance (life, resistances, strength, and weapon physical damage/attack speed) rather than chasing specific items during the campaign. The Endgame stage is where real named gear shows up.

Which ascendancy does this build use?

Warbringer — confirmed directly from the source build files, not a guess.
