Invoker: Full Ascendancy Breakdown

A deep dive into every notable on the Invoker Ascendancy — Spirit generation from armour, elemental dual-ailment stacking, and Energy Shield overcap via Meditate.

Invoker

Identity

Invoker is Monk's elemental hybrid Ascendancy: it converts your equipped Body Armour's Energy Shield and Evasion into Spirit, layers extra Cold and Lightning damage onto your hits with matching ailment synergies (Chill and Shock), and lets you overcap Energy Shield well past its normal maximum through the channeled skill Meditate. It rewards building around a defensive stat stick (ES/Evasion armour) that doubles as your Spirit source, rather than treating Spirit and defense as separate budgets.

Notables

Small passives

  • 15% increased Chill Magnitude
  • 15% increased Shock Magnitude
  • 12% increased Elemental Damage (this passive appears twice on the tree — confirmed via this site's own datamined tree data; taking both stacks the bonus)
  • 12% increased Critical Hit Chance (this passive appears twice on the tree — confirmed via this site's own datamined tree data; taking both stacks the bonus)
  • 20% increased Energy Shield Recharge Rate
  • 20% increased Evasion Rating
  • A combined node granting 15% increased Evasion Rating and 15% increased maximum Energy Shield
  • 16% increased Triggered Spell Damage (Resolved 2026-08-22: confirmed real via this site's own datamined tree data — previously flagged as single-sourced and lower-confidence; that hedge is no longer needed)

Practical notes

  • Because Spirit generation scales off your Body Armour's ES and Evasion specifically, Invoker rewards investing in a single strong hybrid ES/Evasion chest piece over spreading that budget across multiple slots.
  • "I am the Blizzard..." and "I am the Thunder..." both convert a slice of your existing damage into an element rather than adding pure new damage — their value comes from the Chilled/Shocked Ground they trigger, not from raw damage added.
  • Meditate's 150% overcap ceiling applies as a global overflow rule, so it's worth remembering this isn't an Invoker-exclusive number if you're cross-referencing other overflow effects elsewhere on the tree.
